Memories....Oh Memories....

I have a small confession to make - in addition to my journalistic action, I used to be an office worker. When my work there was terminated a month ago, I wasn't sure what the heck I'm gonna do with myself in all the free time I now have. Surprisingly enough, I'm having so much fun and I haven't been bored a second. I arrange my time more freely and allow myself to do what I like, and although sometimes it even get's too hectic since I don't have a routine, freedom is predominantly sweet. The picture above were taken about two months ago near my office building, and been waiting, I now realize, for the right time. As I look at them now, they symbolize all the attributes of being employed full-time - a big grayness, some neatness, tidiness, order, and the leftovers of the sun call for something different, a vacation. The combination of the clothes are somewhat contradictory - the white shirt flirty, the skirt prim, and cardigan detailed yet "officy". Next time, I'll post something devoted to my new life, and this.. this is a bye-bye to the old one. It's now officially summer.

יש לי ווידוי קטן - בנוסף לפעילות העיתונאית שלי, עד לפני חודש הייתי עובדת משרד. כשעבודתי תמה, בניסוח עדין, הייתי מבולבלת קצת - מה אני אמורה לעשות עם כל הזמן הפנוי הזה עכשיו, שאלתי את עצמי וחששתי, כי אני לא בן אדם של שינויים, בטח לא של כאלה שנכפים עלי. בפועל, אני נהנית נורא ולא משועממת לרגע. אני משחקת עם הזמן שלי יותר בחופשיות, עובדת ונחה, עושה מה שאני אוהבת, וגם כשלפעמים העניינים הופכים כאוטיים, כי אין לי שגרה - החופש הוא בעיקר מתוק. התמונות האלה צולמו לפני כחודשיים ליד העבודה שלי, ועכשיו אני מבינה שהן חיכו רגע הנכון. אני מסתכלת עליהן, והן מסמלות בעיני עכשיו את כל מה שהוא עבודה במשרה מלאה- קצת אפרוריות, סדר נקי, רצינות וביטחון, כאשר שאריות השמש קוראות למשהו בכיוון אחר לגמרי, חופשה!!! גם השילוב של הבגדים טיפה הפכפך - החולצה הלבנה, מ"קסטרו עודפים" הנהדרים, פלרטטנית קצת, החצאית חמורת סבר, הקרדיגן החמוד ועדיין משרדי. בפעם הבאה, מובטח פוסט המוקדש כולו לחיים החדשים שלי, ובינתיים.. בינתיים זו פרידת ביניים מהישנים. הקיץ נפתח רשמית.

Flower Power

In case it wasn't obvious, this post assures - I'm a girly girl! Always been, and even while my taste evolves and expands, the flowery dress will always remain the base and my comfort zone. And as I move, too fast to my opinion, from "girl" to "woman" (oh Britney... where would my catch-phrase vocabulary be without you?), my hems get shorter and shorter. This is the all-girly look I've done on the weekend - this awesome silk dress is a recent purchase, on sale - as soon as I see the 70% off sign in Topshop, I forget everything I know. I thought it's nice to accessorize it with a romantic bow and leather touches.

במקרה שזה לא היה ברור עד כה, הפוסט הזה מבהיר - אני בחורה של שמלמלות, פרחים ונשיות. תמיד הייתי, וגם בזמן שהטעם שלי מתפתח, מתעבה ומתעוות לפעמים, השמלה הפרחונית נשארת עמוד התווך. יש לי כל כך הרבה "שמלות קטנות" שלפעמים אני מאלצת את עצמי לברוח מהן, אבל תמיד רוכשת עוד ועוד, וככל שאני מתרחקת מה"ילדה" לקראת ה"אישה", הן רק הולכות ומתקצרות. את הלוק הנשי הכזה לבשתי בסופ"ש - שמלת המשי המופלאה היא באמת רכישה חדשה יחסית - כשאני רואה את השלט "70% הנחה" בטופשופ, אני שוכחת את כל מה שאני יודעת על החיים האלה. חשבתי שיהיה נחמד לאבזר אותה עם הקשת הרומנטית ועם נגיעות עור. 

Night Vision

Every once in a while I fall in love with a sporty piece of clothing. Something simple yet complex, something easy but sophisticated. There's an undoubted charm to well-made, cool sporty pieces, and I admit feeling so cool and comfy and relaxed in an outfit like this, which includes my favorite thing in the world - flip flops (shhh.... it's a huge secret). I was on my way to a home movie- screening here and dressed fast, but it turned out to be a huge favorite. The simple mini-dress was the cheapest thing in a beautiful chain-store called "Witchery" in Melbourn, Australia. The hoodie - a recent purchase of passion, the tights... well, one girl I know attempted to kill me if I don't tell her where I got them. So here it is, out. Two secrets in one post.

מדי פעם אני מתאהבת בפריט ספורטיבי - משהו פשוט אבל מורכב, קל ועם זאת מתוחכם. לבגדי ספורט עשויים היטב, באהבה ובשאיפה ליותר, יש קסם בלתי מבוטל, ויש גם משהו בטריקו עם טיפת לייקרה שעושה הרגשה ביתית ומוגנת. וכן, אני מודה לתחושה קולית וסופר - נוחה בלבישת משהו כזה, במיוחד עם הפריט האהוב עלי בעולם, כפכפים (ששש..... סוד כמוס!) נמצא בתמונה. כאן, בניגוד לתמונות קודמות שצולמו ביום עבודה, הייתי בדרך להקנה ביתית של סרט והתלבשתי מאוד מהר, אבל הבחירה התבררה כהצלחה. השמלה הפשוטה הזו הייתה הדבר הכי זול ברשת אוסטרלית נפלאה שאילו הייתי תרמילאית (5 זוגות נעלי עקב, ובכל זאת תרמילאית) הייתי קונה בה ה-כ-ל. הסווטשירט המגניב בעל הגזרה הייחודית נקנה ב"דליתי" בסוף עונה, הטייץ... מישהי שאני מכירה כמעט חנקה אותי כשלא הייתי מוכנה לספר לה מאיפה הוא הגיע. אז הנה, התשובה פשוטה מאוד. שני סודות בפוסט אחד.

Gone with the wind

Gone with the wind is the winter! Winter is my favorite time of the year, and here winters are so brief' and it's already sunny and humid. I miss the grey, the rain, the wind... well, maybe not so much wind, but it does make nice photos. All the pieces here are in different shades on nude, which I only discovered and learned how to love recently. You gotta be in a certain state of piece with yourself to wear nude, don't you think?

חלף עם הרוח החורף! חורף זו בהחלט העונה האהובה עלי, והשנה הוא היה מאכזב במיוחד. אני מתגעגעת לאפרוריות, לגשם, לרוח.. אולי פחות לרוח, אבל היא עושה אחלה תמונות. בגלל החוסר באפור, העליתי תמונות מלפני חודשיים - כל הפריטים כאן הם בגוון כזה או אחר של צבע גוף, שהכרתי ולמדתי לאהוב ממש לא מזמן. לדעתי צריך להיות במצב של שלווה מסוימת כדי ללבוש צבע גוף, לא?

Anyhow, this cardigan is one of the best things ever - it goes with absolutely everything and immediately upgrades any look. The skirt I bought from Marina, a girl from my office (who also designed the amazing header here!) that period of time we were all in a clothing- sales-in-the-office frenzy. How fun... And last but not the least, the amazing earrings my friend Yael Regev (Kalba) designed - I love big jewelry and let myself go crazy with it sometimes. These mini Lily Allen posters are constantly stared at, I hope in a good way :)

 הקרדיגן הוא אחד הפריטים הכי שימושיים שיש לי - הוא הולך עם הכל ומיד מקנה מראה רב-שכבתי מתוחכם שכזה. החצאית נקנתה ממרינה, בחורה שעובדת איתי (וגם עיצבה את הכותרת המדהימה!) אז כשהיינו בתקופת טירוף של מכירות בגדים במשרד. הנוסטלגיה.. המגפונים הם סיפור סינדרלה - התגלו ב"גזית עודפים" בחיפה, כן כן, והם מהיפים שראיתי בחיי, אם כי הדעות לגבי סוגיה הרת הגורל "עור או לא עור" חלוקות. ואחרונים חביבים - העגילים שעיצבה החברה שלי יעל רגב למותג החמוד שלה "כלבה". אני אוהבת תכשיטים גדולים ולפעמים הולכת עם זה עוד צעד. כל מי שנקלע למרחב האישי שלי בזמן שאני איתם בוהה במיני-פוסטרים האלה של לילי אלן. אני מקווה בצורה חיובית :)

The misfits

This blog had to start with something that calls for seriously good mood! This is a slight drift from how I normally dress - regression to teenagehood, if you will. I got this tank-top from "Plastic Doll" and it was love from first sight. It's a bit revealing at the sides because of the sexy boyish cut, so a cover-up was necessary. The pairing with the monochrome leopard print raised numerous eyebrows, but I believe this partnership brings out the best of both. The shoes are nevertheless fantastic. They have an ugly-pretty dilemma about them, and been bought at a house sale - rejected and adopted again. Happy End!

המיזם הקטן הזה - כל מיזם בעצם - היה חייב להתחיל במשהו שמח שעושה מצב רוח. זוהי סטיה קלה מאיך שאני בדרך כלל מתלבשת, תקראו לזה רגרסיה לגיל ההתבגרות, בכיף. הגופייה הזו של "פלסטיק דול" חיכתה לי כשחזרתי מהעבודה ביום מתיש במיוחד ומייד העלתה לי חיוך על הפנים. גזרתה הנערית, מעט בד, הרבה סקס-אפיל, הצריכה השלמת כיסוי וההחלטה נפלה על הפריט המנומר האהוב עלי - שילוב שהרים כמה גבות, אבל התאהבתי בו. בשלב הזה הנעליים פשוט זעקו להצטרף למסיבה - הן נקנו במכירה ביתית, דחויות ושוב מאומצות, יפות - מכוערות, מגוחכות ואמיצות... מושלמות.
